Santa Barbara fest to fete Scorsese

ScorseseMartin Scorsese will receive the Santa Barbara Intl. Film Festival's American Riviera Award, established to recognize an influential artist in U.S. cinema.The "Hugo" director and film historian will be honored Jan. 30 at the Arlington Theater. It's the first time a helmer has received the award, which has previously gone to Annette Bening, Sandra Bullock and Mickey Rourke.Festival runs Jan. 26-Feb 5.
